Ball in Pirates push. Cook on 22mtr. Nimmo sets the ruc. Suniulo, Thomas and penalty Pirates and Smudger Smith having a bit of an argument. Cook lines the ball in front of posts.

Cook claims ball. Gavin snipes. Pirates drives. Evans break tackled on line. Thomas, Maidment. 7 mtrs out Cook on the line. Roth defend. Ruc ball Paver drives. Pirates attack and maul. Pirates come again. Gavin gets the ball over the line.
Ball in and outside Pirate 22. Bedford 14-Leeds 14. Fre kick Pirates and Sir not for quick starts so back we go. Thomas boots it and forced back the Roth inside their 22. Roth clear the ball. Sounds scrappy but Roth have the ball and now Pirate lineout.Roth 10mtr line.
Inside their 22 Hill and try Pirtaes Pointer drops in with it. Far corner so one more me ansums and Kessel made the break.Cookie lines up for the conversion. And yeeeesssss 25-17. 20 minutes still to play.
Very relieved to get the win in the end against a very big physical Rotherhamm side.
We had the dominant scrum but the penalty count and a couple of lapses in our midfield defence allowed Rotherham to stay in the game.
There is not much between the two sides who play very contrasting styles and it will take a huge effort to come away with the points next week at Rotherham.
Wigston Pirate Sir has blown and confussion alround. So we now have a penalty Pirates on the half way.
Although 'Sir' was probably right in most cases, his speed of blowing his whistle rather than play an advantage to let the game flow made me think (and sing out loud a couple of times) 'Are you Tutty in disguise?'
Picky ref but pretty consistent, I thought. I hope the players aren't developing a siege mentality where officials are concerned; Paves got penalised for dissent at Bedford and was spoken to again yesterday.
That's 3 wins out of 3 against Roth. they are big but if they persist in picking 6 ft 4 props, they will struggle against our scrum and we also look the fitter team.
It's always tough on their narrow pitch but we have more to play for than them on Saturday.
Would be good to see Laurie McGlone back though.
Don't be upset... all he means is that while Roth were 7th. in the league before the playoffs, we were 2nd. equal on points, so on form we should have a better chance of getting to and winning the final.
Rotherham are a very good outfit - and were really up for it on Sunday ( as they will be in the return match )... Glad you beat Leeds - would much rather have you reaching the semis than them ( Roth is a friendly place to go ( for visiting supporters )
