Game plans, tactics, misfunctioning line-outs, poor individual performances, etc, etc.
This game boiled down to one thing in my view. Passion, desire and the will to win.
There is no way that LW are individually or collectively 16 points better than we are and if we're honest we all know that and so probably do Welsh.
What they did however, was build a sizeable winning margin through a collective determination and "never say die" attitude that we just couldn't compete with. Driven on by the RFU refusal to allow them entry into the Premiership even though they have made provisional arrangements with Oxford United FC, they were clearly fired up and understandably so.
The disappointing thing I guess is that we should have seen it coming but didn't appear to match their high level of intensity.
But there is still another 80 minutes to play and I'm pretty sure the coaching staff will have our boys fired up for the return leg.
I am really looking forward to the night out in Oxford and hope that we can do ourselves justice once more in front of the SKY TV cameras.
Even if we lose, let's go down fighting............
