Huge blow for the club as it has been confirmed that Matt will miss the rest of the season.
"Cornish Pirates joint head coach Gavin Cattle has confirmed that the club's Canada international wing Matt Evans will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Crowd favourite Evans (28), injured his knee when he fell awkwardly in the Pirates British and Irish Cup defeat against London Irish last month and had to be carried off. He underwent an operation on his knee last Thursday and Cattle said that Evans was out for the rest of the campaign.

A blow to an already small squad, and especially for Matt. I hope he recovers fully, and is fit and ready for next season.

If you are reading this Matt, please know that you have the best wishes of thousands of us out here. Take your time and come back fit and ready to go....hopefully with Cornish Pirates till you retire.....many years from now!!
