Howay the Pirates give it loads lads. Is there any BBC radio coverage of the match? I can recommend The Crown opposite the Europa Hotel for a beer in town - brilliant spot. I've now read the other thread and realised no radio commentary - best of luck lads.

Disappointing result which is going to make qualification for the 1/4 finals very difficult. At 17-14 I thought we were back in the game but full credit to Ulster for closing the game out and getting a valuable bonus point win.

B&I CUP has been a poorly organised competition from day one. To many changes to how the rounds were played and Scotland pulled out early. No Sponsorship and lack of funding. Not sorry its come to the end of the road. The RFU needs to get their act together on Cup competitions and put some money into backing decent competition.

With one round to go there appears to be 9 teams playing for 8 quarter final places. If the Pirates can get a bonus point win against Hartpury then that could be enough to see us go through as one of the best placed runner ups. Unfortunately that would mean an away game against one of the best qualifiers. There are one or two teams currently on 11pts who could qualify with a bonus point win but its highly unlikely that all of the results for the teams currently above them would go their way.

Round 6: 20 January 2018(current points in bold type).
Bedford Blues(19) v Nottingham
Munster A(17) v Ospreys Select
Leinster A(25) v Doncaster Knights(17)
Bristol Rugby v Cardiff Blues Select
Dragons Select v London Scottish
Yorkshire Carnegie(14) v Jersey Reds(25)
Connacht A v Rotherham Titans
Richmond v Ealing Trailfinders(25)
Cornish Pirates(14) v Hartpury RFC
Scarlets Select v Ulster A(19)

It would be nice to qualify, and I suppose there would be a bit of money for reaching the quarters (don't know if that's the case). Then we'd have an away game against a team we are likely to beat. So it's not a big deal IMO. Having said that, we need a big performance against Hartpury to get back to winning ways following three defeats.
