What a great advert for our club and the youngsters coaches. A copy should be sent to each of our councilors

Fantastic, huge credit to all the coaches, parents and other volunteers who give up their time to provide rugby for these youngsters. We should be very proud as a club of our mini-junior section and I agree that this should be sent to every Cornwall Councillor. These youngsters are our future and rugby teaches them so much about life as shown in this video.

It is good to bring these kids through but why is colt rugby declining in Cornwall? There are plenty of kids coming thorough al mini junior sections but colt rugby in Cornwall is on the decline. WHY?

I think a lot of the problems are caused because college rugby is clashing with club colts games. There is also the age old issue of kids going away to university or work, so a lot of them who play mini/junior rugby don't come through to the colts.

Have heard that when these kids go these collages and that they stop them playing clot rugby that is not ok as this is also stopping players coming through for some of the smaller clubs in Cornwall. Some clubs are struggling to put out sides to fulfil league fixtures and in a few years there will not be as many clubs in Cornwall

The numbers playing colts rugby at clubs have been declining for a number of years for a variety of reasons. As more young men go to college there is pressure on them to work at weekends to help finance their time at college. There is also the pressure put on them by colleges to only play for them with the added incentive of being selected for their academies.
