Brett Beukeboom and Matt Evans have been named in the Canadian squad for the 4 team round robin tournament in France.The matches take place between the 11th-23rd November and will decide the final qualifier for next years RWC in Japan.

Not ideal but I guess we will be rotating the squad quite heavily for the meaningless cup games anyway.

Matt Evans starts on the wing and Brett Beukeboom is on the bench for Canada tonight in their world cup qualifier against Germany.

Matt Evans scored a try as Canada beat Germany 29-10 tonight. They now meet Hong Kong next Friday and need one point to qualify for next years RWC finals.

Canada defeated Hong Kong 27-10 to qualify for next years RWC finals.

Great result for Canada and our boys out there. I hear Matt Evans has picked up an injury, don't know if it's just a niggle or something more sunstantial, hope it's nothing serious.

I heard that too. I think it may have been pre match as he was replaced before the start. Hope it's not serious. If anyone is interested I've attached a YouView streaming of the game.
