Excellent win today — 3rd place , good to get the bonus point— I now want to see a win at Leeds, more important for me to see Hartpury not relegated, more like a home game to me— for many of you that game is like a local derby — or is it Jersey ?

We had to defend for almost 20 minutes from the start of the game, but the boys never looked liked conceding any points. Lineout malfunctioned a few times which meant we couldn't keep possession for long and a couple of dropped passes added to the frustration. But we stuck at it, and we did finally get some ball we scored two cracking tries. LS were dogged and took some breaking down, but our scrum was brilliant and eventually we got a penalty to put us more than two converted tries ahead. It took until the last play of the game to get the BP try, but that's 5 points and job done. To nil any team is a massive achievement. No points conceded since London Irish scored in the 13th minute of the previous game - well done boys, proud of you.

Stalwart, totally agree, our defensive performance particularly in the opening 20 minutes, won us that game, as LS dominated the 1st quarter.
Terrific opening score with a 2nd well worked try after sustained pressure in their 22 gave us a 12-0 lead at half time.
Tremendous effort in the 2nd half to prevent Scottish getting any points and a great finish to score the bonus point try with the final play.
Although our line out malfunctioned at times, our scrum dominated, to give us good field position.
Fantastic crowd of 2962 who should have enjoyed the game and hopefully many of them will return in the new year to support the club.
Happy New Year to all Pirates and looking forward to some positive news on the S4C.

I think it was Moseley in the 2015/2016 season? 32-0 if memory serves.

Listened to the match at work via Radio Dreckly and as mentioned the first 20 minutes Pirates did not let LS score under the pressure they brought. To go in at half time with no points by LS and trail by 12 points seemed to have faltered them. The BP try at the end just superb and to be in the top three again fantastic. Advance warning I will be at Leeds and Coventry the following week. Woodhouse take note will be contacting you soon.
Bert are you available me ansum.

Will be going up to Leeds with you matey
Never quite sure what effect your “kick it” calls have, but it certainly upsets the opposition!
Hope we have a result like we had the other year

Our defence was indeed excellent, but I do feel that we really haven't replaced, despite the best efforts of the management, Alex Cheeseman with someone who can really compete for the ball at the breakdown. Also,as others have mentioned, our line out malfunctioned, although to be fair their pack towered over ours. The management must have doubts about our big Georgian otherwise he would be a cert given our weakness in this area. It's probably these two chinks in our armour which will prevent us overtaking Ealing into second place and mean perhaps not even making the top four. Anyway the game against a fast improving Leeds will give us a good idea of where we stand in this respect. It's been a great season so far and to see so many at the game was really great. We should get similar crowds for London Irish and Ealing.

Cheeseman was a brilliant player, but John Stevens is developing into an excellent 7 - he is hard as nails, makes crunching tackles, he's pretty quick and has brilliant skills. Toby and Brett are up there with the best second rowers in the league and are consistently good. The lineout was really good against Irish, so any glitches can be fixed. Probably have to give LS credit for doing a job at lineout time, and, as you say Welshpirate, their second rows were about ten feet tall!
