Coach to Hartpury College 21st January
09 January, 2017 12:16
The Supporters' Club will be running a coach to Hartpury College on 21st January.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT KICK OFF TIME IS 2.30PM.

The coach will arrive in the BPA car park at 10.45 with a view to departure for the hour and fourty five minutes journey at 11.15am.

Seat costs are as follows:-
- Supporters' Club members 15.00
- Students and Juniors 10.00
- Non-Supporters' Club members 20.00

We are still in negotiations as to discounted ground entry charges. Once agreement has been reached, we will post further information on here.

There is every likelihood that bookings will be made very quickly. Indeed, some bookings have already been made. Whilst the Supporters' Club stand will be in the Arena bar before the game on Saturday against Blackheath, it may well be worth your while making a booking during this week using our dedicated email address - crsc1874@gmail.com

A price reduction has been agreed as follows:-

Ground entry charges have been reduced to a flat rate of 8.00 with under 16's being allowed free entry. This is a saving of 2.00 for adults (normally 10.00), whilst the rate for concessions remains the same (at 8.00).
The ground entry charge allows access to all areas of the ground, including a covered stand with seats which is operated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Considering this club will probably be promoted, the gate money being collected by stewards having little or no change, is a bit amateurish. Just goes to show the shocking state of rugby governance in England. There is no way a college team should climb to this level, someone must be putting serious money into the team and it needs to be stopped. The divisions are being skewed and these clubs do not help to promote rugby to a wider audience in their local area, because the population demograph is too small. The RFU should look at the business model of all full/ part time rugby clubs, with minimum standards for stadium, fan base, earned income, turnover etc. The objective should be to.grow participation not enable an ego trip for the weathly. Hartpury however, have done great but it doesn't make it right IMHO.

So, let's make this match the day when the Coventry dog bites back. C'mon Cov !!

They are no longer a college team. However, they get all the benefits of free access to very impressive public funded college facilities, the ability to employ full time rugby players on the college staff, rather than on the rugby club's books, and the partnership with Gloucester RFC through the college providing them with training facilities.

However, this is probably a discussion for other places, rather than a thread about coach travel.

As we keep saying it's not a level playing field and does need looking into, the taxpayers are funding some of this.

As per Rowlands stance on Tuesday. We just need to worry about Cov. Nothing we can do about any other team.

That's funny cos I read about the gate money in this thread. Petty comment my friend.

There are twelve seats still available on Saturday's coach to Hartpury.
On our current run of form, and given our win over Blackheath on Saturday, it's important that we fill those seats in order to give the team our maximum support.
Seats can be booked via our dedicated email address - crsc1874@gmail.com
