That was an extremely mature performance by a Cov team which refused to accept the prospect of being beaten. How nice to put one over Ampthill.
It was a pleasure to watch such a consistently high standard of commitment from every single player. Apart from a dodgy period in the third quarter I thought Cov played very hard and showed such a mature attitude.
Paul Turner stood on the touch line and was remonstrating with the ref all afternoon, but it would have been justice if one of his players had been sent off for bringing Jubby down in the line out.
Talking of Jubby, for me he was unquestionably Man of the Match.
I thought Tom Poole was outstanding with some big hits and plenty of hard work where it counts. A real unsung hero. Agree that Jubb was impressive as well. Also Heath Stevens makes a big difference. We look so much better when we do the simple things well rather than trying the million dollar pass or offload.
