Moseley - 23rd December

Despite Coventry Rugby declining to make members of Moseley Supporters Association an offer of discounted ground admission charges to BPA in September, Moseley RFC have very kindly offered all Coventry Rugby supporters (not just members of Coventry Rugby Supporters' Club) a discounted ground admission charge. Instead of £15.00 they will sell them to us for £12.00.
As with their routine last year, they need to know numbers in advance of the game in order to post the tickets, as a bulk package, to us during the week before the game.
Please place your request via crsc1874@gmail.com and we will keep a running total in order to place a bulk order with Moseley RFC.
Their email stated that the deadline is 15th November. Almost certainly they mean December, but we have asked for clarification. Nonetheless, an order for tickets asap will be much appreciated.

Would the club care to comment as to the reason (s) why it was refused?

They already have. I think it was on the Moseley home game thread.

Supporters will remember that last season a supporter fell through the floor of the uncovered stand and there were comments made as to Heath and Safety etc.
What had happened was that Moseley discovered, on examination of the stand as a result of the incident, some of the support metal work which constitutes the frame had been removed and stolen. They think it likely that the romany community was responsible but the police have not been able to make any prosecution. Since then, the stand has been closed and the dwindling gates have led to the decision to not invest in having effective repairs carried out.
However, there is every likelihood that repairs will be carried out for their game against Coventry on 23rd December in anticipation of a bumper crowd.
We will keep supporters aware of the situation.

Reference to the temp stand , there were repeated incidents mentioned on their chatroom going back 12/18 months prior to covs visit. Let alone the algae on the boards which you walked on which made it extremely slippy.

The chap fell through the floor directly in front of where myself and my wife were sitting. I don't claim to be an expert on temporary stands, but to blame 'support metalwork' and accusing Romany people of theft for what happened seems like a load of codswallop in my opinion. Whatever the floor was made of -some kind of MDF type looking material- it gave way where it was screwed down. I did think the incident wasn't handled very well at the time by the stewards, and did think about contacting the HSE myself about it.

Very sorry, BTR, but the opportunity is now closed as the sales of tickets was on Saturday before the game against Plymouth Albion. Because Moseley stuck to their imposed deadline of 30th November, Saturday was our only opportunity to take orders for tickets and to take payment. We have placed the order, and banked the money, with Moseley today.
Regrettably, anyone who didn't order on Saturday will need to pay the full ground entry price (£15.00) on the day.
A reminder to all who did place an order - tickets must be collected from the Supporters' Club stand in the Arena Bar before the Ampthill game on 9th December.
As a matter of interest, at the time of posting, two coaches are now full and a waiting list is being compiled for further supporters who wish to travel by coach.

Ok thanks for your response. Contrary to above info then? ( not looked on supporters club website). Not a biggie to pay the extra on the gate... just means giving more money to Mose :-p

Thanks again, sterling work as usual

Why would anyone discount a ticket for a near certain bumper crowd ? It is the opposite to supply and demand economics. No wonder Cov doesn't ;-)
