Great stuff. Every little bit of publicity helps. We certainly don't get much from the Coventry Telgraph. Have you seen the on line version? Great if you're a Wasps fan. Cov fan? 13 wins out of 13 yet you will be lucky if you get a match report every week. Dreadful, when you remember how good the Telegraph and The Pink used to be.

Is it just me is has that been written by a ten year old? Or was it submitted via twitter? Just seems like a very strange way of writing? Obviously when youíre used to JW and Tim Smith everything pales in comparison

Itís been edited very oddly with in all cases but one, individual sentences set as separate paragraphs. It makes it easier to read online on a phone screen, but makes it read very strangely.

Don't forget chaps. The Coventry Observer is a free paper, and yes, the article may lack some professional quality , but at least there is news about Coventry rugby club. Whether the paper courted news from Cov or Cov courted the paper for publicity, I don't mind. To my mind, The Coventry (Birmingham) Telegraph couldn't care less about Cov. Maybe The Observer will go from strength to strength and maybe the Coventry (Birmingham) Telegraph will wither away.

Is the Coventry Observer still delivered door to door? I have not received a copy in the 5 years I have been living in Longford

Titchy Winger, we are of course all entitled to our opinions on this forum, that's what it is for, but dissing the CT is not going to help the club's cause when a lot of hard work has gone into keeping relations open. The print version carries stories on four days each week; I concede that these don't always appear on line but if you look under the Coventry club section and not just Rugby, there is a fair bit of content. The person whose job it was to post Cov stories has left the company and others are currently filling in, but have other roles and are not always in the office.
It's not ideal, but t say the Telegraph doesn't care about the club is inaccurate and potentially damaging.

Point taken John. I don't buy the paper any more, but look at the on line version which leaves a lot to be desired.

You are easily pleased. It is an awful article and in today's IT and social media world no excuse. Coventry Observer in what forms do they exist? Yes Coventry Telegraph is lazy and no better.

Coventry Rugby site is getting better than these with bulletins.

However Coventry blog sets the bar....fantastic...innovative...and above all informative...I have to have it for breakfast or my day starts under nourished!!!

I have read the paper version of The Coventry Observer today. There on the back page is a photograph of Rowland Winter and the match report from the Rosslyn Park match under the banner headline "Unstoppable Coventry add to National League 1 lead". Turn the page and the inside back page has the Nick Walshe column, and has the headline "Between the posts:Nick Walshe previews Ampthill". and is accompanied by a photograph of Nick. The column jumps out at you because the background is blue compared to the white of the rest of the page, and certainly looks better than the on line version we see in Kimbo's opening post.

Easily pleased? I'm very pleased indeed to see these artcles in a local newspaper. Articles that could attract more people to The Butts.
