For the benefit of supporters who intend to travel independently we have received notification from BS as to the possibility of road works disruption on the route which would normally be taken to get to the BS Silver Leys ground on Hadham Road:-

"I wanted to make you aware that unfortunately the usual route to the ground along Hadham Road is going to be closed that weekend due to some planned building work and hence we are advising all visiting clubs that they will need to approach the club coming through the town. Itís not a complicated journey by any means but I wanted to make you aware." (8th January)

Then an up-date:-

"I should also be able to let you know next week if the road closure I warned you about would still be in place, there is a suggestion it may simply be temporary traffic lights by then."(17th January)

If we receive any further information it will be posted on here.

For anybody thinking of travelling up from London Liverpool Street, I understand that due to weekend rail work on the train lines a Rail Replacement Bus will operate for part of the journey and the trip will take 2 hours each way!

Is this a conspiracy to keep the travelling Cov Support away!!!!

I can also advise that there is little (if any) covered seating at the ground. The pitch is also away from the clubhouse across what can be very wet ground.

In our dealings with them they have confirmed that there is no covered viewing area, no stands and no seating.

It was confirmed by BS yesterday that road closures and temporary traffic lights are no longer in place, although the road works themselves may be still on-going but without the disruption.

Ah, sadly the jet was in for servicing that weekend. Pity, because I could have had them drop me off on the way...
