Tom Emery/DR's/Loans

I see Tom Emery is in the Cambridge squad today. I guess we won't be seeing him back at Cov. I also notice Paul Diggin (previously academy coach) has left Saints. I wonder how this affects our links with any DR saints, if at all.

Hopefully, any coach in the top tier, knowing he has to farm out upcoming and peripheral talent to Championship and National One sides will look to several factors.
These could include existing links, the best side for a hopeful to be part of and one that will aid his learning, in terms of the standard and style of play, and, hopefully, a preference on the side of the player.
I also think Rowland Winter has a skill of converting people to his vision for Coventry. He's done bloody well so far smiling smiley

Rowland has been very clear that where possible he will use Coventry players rather than DR / loans, where he has players if a suitable standard.
If heís that clear with Coventry supporters I am absolutely sure he would be even more clear with the players and their home teamsí managements.

And hopefully the strengthening that's going on now will mean we don't need to use them at all.

Tom Emery looked quite useful, but for me I don't know where his best position lies, and I feel he doesn't either. Is he a winger, full back or scrum half? Am I being unfair by describing him as a Jack of all trades?

I think the term 'utility back' covers it. Good player though. But not ours.
