Strong Cov XV. Couple of loaner/triallists on. Several u18s set to put in an appearance in the 2nd half.

62-7 Freddie Betteridge try, Cam Gray con... (try no. 10)

Edit: Turns out that the eight conversions were evenly split between Lewis and Povey. I get increasingly disillusioned and frustrated by the club's Twitter feed (which I was relying on last night as I'm currently laid-out with horrendous sciatica!).
Yes, I know there are far more important things, before anyone says it...

Looks rather one sided based on the score line.At least the lads are getting a run out instead of on the training park. Well done.

They think itís all over...
It is now.

Very one sided. Plenty of running to keep warm on a cold blustery night
Thank goodness for radiators in the bar.

Plenty of experience with a sprinkling of Development in first half far too strong for a spirited RAF. Lots of changes 2nd half with the balance going towards development players. Cov continued to dominate. Some great running rugby by both sides giving plenty of entertainment for a healthy crowd given the late venue change due to a soggy Butts Park.

Will Flynn, Dan Lewis, Kwaku Asiedu, Max Trimble, Max Titchener and James Neal showed there is plenty of potential at Coventry. Considering the Development side is only a couple of years old and with two U18's (first years) making the bench it is impressive.

Josh McNulty looked very good. Probably too good for Cov to snaffle him permanently. But lets hope Sam and his brothers are as good or better.

Having been to the Army and the RAF games they are worth the effort. These lads deserve a decent crowd and both games drew decent attendances considering the weather wasnt ideal on both occassions.

Enjoyable evening. Pretty one aided as the score suggests but some good, well worked try's. Plenty of pace out there too... Kwaku, Trimble, Josh McNulty! Great run from him...

Who was our hooker for he majority of the match? Definitely wasn't Dawidiuk.

The loosened Toby Trinder looks useful. Is he staying?

The Hooker was Luke Truslove who got a call 3 hours before KO to help out.

This was one of the reasons that there were no team lists available. The squad, and in particular the outside players was being updated until into the afternoon, and on top of that the venue was beinbg updated. At one point there was a serious proposal that it would be played at RAF Cosford!

Was worth the effort to see Sami T - two perfect looping miss passes on the money at full pace, a carry that took half a dozen boys to stop but more so for the Exocet tackle he put on their 10 which he will dine out on for the rest of his life (now he has his wind back)!

As for the development lads, Russell stood out for his work rate. The half-backs, Flinn and Lewis, making really good decisions - it would have been easy to throw the ball around but their control of tempo and territory showed maturity. Flinn took over captaincy once Sami departed and seemed to lead the team well despite the multiple changes and created a flurry of tries.

Great to see the pace of Asiedu, Emery and Trimble too - made for an enjoyable night.
