I was also there and it was a inept and terrible display by a fully pro albion side, against what was a poor Welsh side. There seems to be no idea as to how to improve the team. I think this year relegation is sadly inevitable!
Morning
I wasn't there on Saturday but watched the game's text commentary on line. At the end I was probably more disappointed than I have ever been. This was a game that could have (should have?) kick started our season. Shanner's comments after the game kind of summed up where I think most of our current problems lie (I have mentioned them on this forum before): crucial injuries (and yes I know that is what a squad is for); inexperience in decision-making positions, penalties at the scrum and some basic handling errors. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath when we started aerial ping pong with 10 or so to go.... .....but, some of the intemperate comments flying the club's way on social media have made me squirm a little. I don't think they are worthy of Albion and its supporters. A number of commentators have said that the performance wasn't that bad.Of course, times are difficult but look at the context instead of all out blame of individuals. For the past couple of seasons we have got off to starts that have not reflected reality....this time around we have struggled to get going but I am sure that there is no need for panic. Forget the cup for anything other than trying to put things right: let's focus on the Jersey GKIPA game, winnable, and the rest of the league season where we will see 'w's', perhaps not against the likes of the rich boys but against other clubs similar to our own. Let's get behind the management team and the boys, they aren't deliberately losing, and help them not hinder them. Come on Albion!
I can't see where are first league victory is going to come from,
I suppose Pirates at home after Christmas is looking like our best chance. Plymouth Albion News 24/7 More Plymouth Albion headlines
