Now that this site is up and running again we can review what happened on Saturday! I feel that the players were not in the right frame of mind from the beginning. They didn't deliberately go out on the field underestimating the opposition but they might, subconsciously, have been thinking that the fixture should be a straightforward win against a newly promoted side. It was a big shock then to lose our first put-ins at the scrum and from that point, having lost the initiative, we were unable to wrestle it back.

Fair play to Chinnor, they had great desire and passion and thoroughly deserved the win. We've got to remember this feeling of an unexpected defeat at home before each and every game this season in order to avoid under-par repeat performances.

We look forward to a powerful response on Saturday at Esher!

Good post baat. We have seen what the side can do in pre season, if that can get going in league then we can win more than lose.

Any side that can go away to Ebbw Vale in the Welsh premiership and put 53 points on them and who contains perhaps a handful of English Premiership / Championship experienced players in their squad as is the case at Chinnor will be a handful. And I don't think we were at our strongest in terms of available players, but you play with what you've got of course.

It will be interesting to see how Chinnor fare this season.

We were out-gunned in every dept, tight, line out, ruck and maul. We gave up hard won ball to turnovers too often

They are an amalgum of players fron higher leagues and I recon will give every team in this league a serious jolt. Top 4 and possibly no 1.
