Staff/volunteer turnover is a fact of life, but it looks as though there will be some challenging holes to fill around the ground in the near future...

1. Yesterday was last day as Events Supervisor for Alex Stone (daughter of Dressing Room supremo, Dave). She is moving onward and upwards in the catering trade and will be in PL7 for the next phase of her career, I hear. She has looked after the whole gamut of hospitality for a good while now, and dealt with all the ordering, staffing and last minute gluten-free crises with calm, poise and competence. Well regarded and loved judging by the amount of loot she has been presented with this week. Last night, as others were doing the locking up, she was all scrubbed up with a glass in her hand and ready to hang one on in Town in true Plymouth style.

Well done, girl - geddon! Just come back and see us for the End o' Season lunch, OK?

2. It appears that a major chunk of the 50/50 team will be hanging up their money aprons and ticket books come the end of this season. Having banked 50 grand+ for PARFC over the past few years, they (not unnaturally) want to concentrate on the rugby and enjoy the occasional first half turnaround rather than sweat in the counting house with the notes and coins. Thanks for staying smiley and happy all those wet and windy afternoons (that actually start in the mornings, remember) while the johnny come latelies arrive with 50 notes, ask for random numbers from multiple books and endlessly recycle the "jokes" about not winning.

Top job, guys!

Come cheer up, my lads - 'tis to glory we steer!
