For those unable to make the trip to Paris on 5th April 2012.

Stade Francais v Exeter Chiefs which is Live on TV will now be showing at Sandy Park on the night.
The County Suite Bar will be open from 18:30 – 23:00 and there will be food on sale.

That's really good news and for those of us who are travelling to Paris we will have to make sure the tomahawk rings around the stadium so we can heard at SP too!

This is great as I was going to take the family to a pub but Sandy Park here we come - it will be just like the second leg of the Championship final I hope.

Nows there's a good night out for those of us unable to travel (Sm42) We'll have to make sure the chop carries up the South coast and through the Chanel Tunnel (Sm60)

Excellent news, have been hoping they would, we need to make sure it is well supported as it could make it viable for any future big away games.

Has it been officially announced anywhere and will it be advertised, at our home games between now and then for example.

It's just been announced over the Tannoy at the brave's game. It's in the member's bar though so could be a bit cosy.......

It was on tonight's team sheet but it appears that only the Members Bar will be open. If this is the case then my wife, son and I will give it a miss and go elsewhere. I predict that there will be a big turnout that will make the Members Bar too cramped.

With you all the way Big Bob.
When they announced it over the tanoy I said to my wife "that's sorted then, we can all (6) come up here on the Thursday night".
Then when we discovered that it was only the members bar that would be open...we decided that, with two youngsters under 7, it would be better to stay at home.

Maybe we could use this site to give the club some idea as to how many people would attend Sandy Park for this event ?
Any chance you could set up a poll Moorsman ??

I don't want to appear negative against the club and I would rather be with fellow Chiefs supporters than a mixed crowd in a pub but I am thinking about the Members bar during Saturday's England game. I would also like the club to have my money rather than a pub. We would want to eat and therefore would want a table; also I don't particularly want to stand for the whole match.

The large bar was great when we got promoted but I am guessing that it may be booked that day and the next and the club don’t want the hassle of moving furniture. Good idea PhilW2010 regarding the poll.

Poll is rather pointless if the other areas of Sandy Park have been booked. Is access for the members bar for this occasion free to all or will you have to show your membership card to get in?

According to the tannoy announcement last night it is free to all.

Hi all,
If this is proving to be popular then I am sure it will be moved into the BIG bar....
As far as I am aware, there are no other events on at the Club that night.
I suggested this event to the bar manager and she has asked me to warn her if it sounds like there will be large numbers attending as she will increase bar staff and take another look at which bar we use. I think that if this is a success then the Club will look at doing this more often when the trip away is a long or costly one and the match is telivised...
Keep me posted !

Thanks Slimboy that sounds encouraging - the night that we got promoted has to have been a successful evening bar takings wise there were certinaly a lot of people there - we clearly need some sort of poll to get numbers

That's good news...& thanks for keeping us all up to date slimboy.

Still think we need a poll...or a thread with a more direct title (sorry slimboy, that is not a criticism of this thread) to try & "advertise" this a bit more.
