Sandy Park improvements
Little Plums (IP Logged)

I took my Littlest Plum to Exeter Museum this week and whilst figuring out how I could steal one of the head dresses from the glass cabinets without anyone realising, or setting off alarms, I also realised there is one major omission from Sandy Park:

As part of the improvements to Sandy Park, could we please erect a totem pole? Native Americans used to use them to pray for favourable weather. The wind at Sandy Park is notorious; now if only we could get it to always blow in the faces of our opposition, or to sheer their goal kicks away from the posts...

Seriously though, as a bit of fun and to embed the brand, it would be great to have one somewhere outside the Reservation, as a meeting point, for example.

Any one agree?

LP, genius idea - some local wood, a few local artists, sponsored by O'Hanlon's ... love it thumbs down

The one on the left of this picture looks a seriously impressive beast: [en.wikipedia.org]

Sounds like a good idea to me and not too expensive to do.

In the centre of the Plaza I reckon.

What a great idea. Maybe we could have the faces of the players who won us promotion (Sm100)

Do you think we would be allowed totem poles for goalposts ? (Sm159)

It would, I am sure, get decorated with at least one visiting fan's scarf every home match.

As such, I commend the idea to the house.

Maybe the guy who does the carved bears out at Newton St Cyres could be approached to get an idea of price.

I'm passing that way tomorrow, so I'll stop in his lay-by and pose the question.
