Hello all. Is anyone able to provide an update with regards the ground redevelopment. I've not heard anything for a long time. Back in 2012 Tony Rowe said the ambition was to have a 20,000+ stadium within 5 years.

Obviously the West stand was extended and the East Terrace enlarged but what's happened to the rest? Is lack of finances the reason?

Any update appreciated?

I don't think 5 years was the goal, OC? The Bond which helped finance the last bit of development was for seven years and I'd imagine the next stage would form part of a restructuring of debt at, or towards the end of that. Investors will have funds tied up in the existing Bond and it would make sense to roll that over.

Jack Nowell indicated in an interview with Flats and Shanks (which you can listen to as part of their excellent weekly podcasts) that the next stage would be during the summer after next season (2018). I don't know how much of the club's finances and plans would be shared with players but that seems a little early. That would, however, also mean the fundraising would start later this year going by the previous timescale.

Although attendances have improved, Chiefs sit at around 91% of capacity. It would make sense to grow this before creating extra space.
