Hi Low

As an Engels man married to a South African I am really pleased with this... the free running rugby of the Cheetahs has always been a delight to watch.

With South African family having strong strong links with the Eastern Cape it is great to see the Southern kings also involved. My skoon Pa or Father in law has offered to be either teams water boy if they'd fly him over for matches.

On a positive, this will certainly bring an extra edge to the game but from a raw supporters point of view, that's 2 away games I'd like to go on if I were a Pro 12 fan but I'd be gutted that it's 2 games that I'd not be able to attend (Sm147) I feel much the same about this as I do about the Prem games being played in the USA, is it a step too far for domestic fixtures?

On the one hand I would like to see some kind of competition involving both northern and southern hemisphere clubs but I'm pretty sure that this isn't the way to do it, particularly as neither side will be able to qualify for Europe.

I would have absolutely no issues with the Stormers being in our Euro group. I am no fan of so called Super Rugby, but I absolutely love Cape Town. My favourite city in the world.

........Oh yes.

Hi Chiefs

Not so bothered about Stormers but as we've discussed, I agree 100% with your view of Kaap Stad.

The Kings and Cheetahs had no real choice it was either find another competition to join or potentially not exist. This experiment poses no risk at all to the Pro 12 and you never know the Pro 14 may if successful be a real benefit to Northern and Southern hemisphere rugby.

I hope it's sustainable and may well take my boys to go and see either Cheetahs or Kings in Wales if it doesn't clash with an Exe fixture...
