Just seen that this has been postponed for a day, now Sunday 7th instead of Saturday 6th. No explanation that I have seen anywhere, but Falcons and Chiefs offys both got this date now plus BBC. Ive got a group of 5 going up, house rented, parking space for match day rented etc. Anyone going up better start looking at their accommodation and travel plans Im afraid.

Edit; not sure how long this has been known, but first Id heard of it anyway. Apologies if this is now old news, but Ill leave my post up anyway for any late catchers on like me!

Expect about 40 of us there. 12-16 on coach.

Before the match we usually meet in the clubhouse bar upstairs next to their small stand not the big one.. Nice bar and sells good pies.

Oggy

Forecast for the weekend is dry, with sunshine on Sunday so the temperature will soar to a mighty 0C. We natives will be fine in tee shirts & flip flops but you lot had better wear something more than just a few feathers.

Have a good trip up folks.

We have just been told that those of us flying back on Sunday will not be allowed to leave our bags on or in the Newcastle ground. Thanks for your help!

How near will the supporter's coach be parked?

If the shoe was on the other foot. Do you think Sandy Park would be so accommodating? I doubt very much.

Factually incorrect. No drums allowed in the East Stand, they will allow them in the other stands, read the other post from Smokey Signals and get your facts straight before pontificating on the forum.
Their ground, their rules.

In past seasons the coach parks in the car park outside the ground, within easy walking distance.

Even we are not allowed to take bags into the ground these days, pretty much standard across all grounds these days. Don't blame us, blame the sick people who take bombs into crowded places. Try taking a shed load of luggage into Sandy Park at your next home game & see how far you get.

As stated above, you can't take drums into the East Stand for the very simple reason that there is absolutely no space where you could use them. In the two large terraced stands North & South you will have no problem.

Your bus will be parked in the ground car park, even after heap big pile of pints you will find it. I have offered on our message board to put bags in my car during the game, but if there will be a supporters bus there then maybe that would be the better suggestion.

FYI our drums are small and can fit into any seat space (with drummer) I suspect the reason is more to do with proximity to the coaching area. 2 years ago our drummers were immediately infront of him and he asked us to stop, which we did. Last year we moved to the other end of East stand away from his area and had no complaint but may be he still thinks that's too close......

No drums but, we had to put up with about 1,000 additional line runners calling everything forward or offside. Some of the crowd started to sound a bit 'chippy'.

That is quite normal. We also have a few thousand referee assessors in the South Stand who are all experts on the finer points of refereeing the game, and have the perfect viewpoint from behind the posts & 100m away from the action.
