In the Aviva Premiership stats Lewis Ludlow (Glos) has made 206 tackles. Tom Dunn (Bath) is second with 182. Woodburn has more carries and is in the top 3 in 4 of the categories! No figures for nuisance!

LCD is not in the top 3 tacklers. You seem to forget Bath have to do a lot more defending!

The tackle figures are misleading and I doubt Exeter will ever have players at the top of the tackle table as we actually like to have the ball in OUR possession unlike Bath who like the opposition to have it for some reason?
Stats are not important with Eddie,he does his own thing.
If you had a poll of 100 knowledgeable rugby people that chose the England squad, you will probably find 99 people in 100 would choose LCD over Dunn, the other one would choose Dunn over LCD and that person would be Eddie Jones. He is the person that matters most though and as long as England win tournaments I cannot argue with that.

LCD is going to struggle to be in the top three tacklers stats wise due to lack of game time as a result of injury. That's statistics for you; there's lies, damn lies and statistics.

Is there one single Chiefs fan out there who would rather see Dylan Hartley than LCD in a Chiefs' shirt ?

Me for one as I support the Chiefs before England! I understand any players frustration though.
Hartley is a yesterday man IMHO. But not in EJ's.

Just a farm team from Devon.

I am not going to question Eddie's selection decisions. He has a pretty good record in his tenure with only 1 loss. We're obviously biased towards our players & we often wear our blinkers. Eddie has his reasons & I respect his expertise in this area.

Apparently, Nowellsy is fit for the weekend. However, Eddie's comments on the various players available left some doubt about whether Jack will play. While I love to see Jack playing for England, I'd rather he was fully recovered before being risked.
