Apart from dont go :-) can anyone offer any advice with regard to navigating the complexities of what to apply for, where and so on.

The tickets seem to be in 'packs' you can either apply for a stadium pack (giving you the games in one city) or a team pack (giving you tickets to follow England) obviously the team pack requires a fair bit of travel, flights etc. The England pack in mid range cat B is about 500 per person for the 4 pool games.

I think the general availability of individual game tickets go on sale later in the year

All really depends what sort of trip you want to do and how much you want to spend smiling smiley
