Whatever the legal rights or wrongs of the matter the Club has set itself high moral standards in dealing with players whose behaviour has been legal but not acceptable to the coaches/management. Arscott, Mieres, and Matawalu were all innocent of any illegality but were all got rid of for what used to be called "gross moral turpitude", (Nadolo's case was slightly different).
Under these circumstances signing Jackson would seem so out of character that one would feel that principle had been sacrificed to expediency and that signing him would undermine the standards that the Club has set itself.

With the wealth and adulation comes a level of responsibility, players who are heroes to small boys and girls can, reasonably, be held to higher standards than ordinary mortals.

Personally, for all of the above reasons, I hope that we don't sign him.

I could certainly have not put it better. +1

The Telegraph is reporting that Sale have agreed a deal with Paddy Jackson, and are also looking to sign Stuart Olding. As the article says Steve Diamond "specialises in rehabilitating players considered toxic by other clubs".

I guess we can breathe a sigh of relief now as both Olding and Jackson are according to media reports now on their way to Sale which is seemingly becoming a refuge for castaways.

I imagine that involves a lot of cold showers and steamed vegetables with the occasional session of electro-shock therapy thrown in.

They are not on their way to Sale. The club have put this terse statement out.

A very Short and straight to the point statement..

I would add that Sale released statements denying the signings of both James O'Connor and Faf De Klerk, This was of course shortly before they both signed for Sale, Am Pretty sure they did something like this Yarde too after he walked out of Quins, Maybe wrong about that though? So based on recent history this statement is hardly coming from a credible source.

Sorry Sale, But your PR team is a lot like Donald Trump..
