Coventry - The Wern 3pm Sunday

Very important game this Sunday as we host The Bears from Coventry.

It's a funny old world.Coventry Bears have a winger,Jamahl Hunte.

He is,I believe, the nephew of former international winger and Challenege Cup winner with Wigan,Henderson Gill, and he is the cousin of Alan Hunte, former international winger and St Helens player.

Alan Hunte has just taken a job at Oldham the other week, because the Oldham head coach was banned for a number of weeks, for a verbal tirade aimed at the referee,Andy Sweet,at an opening game of The Championship campaign for this year.

His team were actually leading at half time and won the game.

The referee on Sunday is the same Andy Sweet.

If you are reading this I expect you will be making every effort to attend the game and cheer on The Ironmen.

The coaching staff and players deserve your support.

I think you will be well rewarded.

Enjoy...

**** Apologies - the referee/officials subject to the tirade did NOT include Andy Sweet.

Apologies for the error - I can't remove the post, either.***

No problem - but you can edit all your own posts on this board if you want to?

So you could remove anything you want to in effect. ie reduce your post down to a "."

Alan Hunte played for Scotland didn't he?

I just checked the reliable Wikipedia(?) - and he played the other code for Pontypridd.

I've seen the try his cousin scored against Scorpions in the past.

One to watch out for...

Excellent fun in the sun,and the best entertainment to be had for 10 with one's clothes on.

Delighted for the coaching staff who I was thinking one,or both, must have been Sisyphus in a previous life.

It looked as though they were trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of a very deserved victory, but having given the coaching staff, and others,a few grey hairs won it at the death.

Shame there wasn't more in attendance to witness it but superb entertainment nontheless.

I did worry with everything seeming to go left but can't really complain about a win under the circumstances.

Good team effort.Thank you each.

( Hugely sorry I can't be at Wrexham next Sunday - probably )

But win anyway!
