Another massive shift from our skeleton squad again today. Those boys are doing the badge proud, we had more than enough chances to win the game.
We were starved of possession first half and missed the chances that came our way, missed a few too second half but were easily the best side second half, by a mile.
Definitely worth the trip, even with a massive hangover
Another good shift from the boys Sunday at Leeds. Not much to get excited about apart from good defence in quite a dull first half where we didn't get much ball at all. A few issues with our set piece cost us what promising field positions we managed. We conceded a number of penalties which allowed them to play "no thrills" rugby relying on their efficient rolling maul to build a lead.
Things looked bleak at the start of the second half when we were forced to move our 9 to centre. However after conceding another immediate three we took control of the game. The scrum went very well and the lineout was serviceable. The young 9 from Gloucester added a bit of spark with his running threat and the home crowd became very nervous and agitated. We began to grow in confidence and play some ambitious ball in hand stuff which really started to stress their defence. They began to infringe persistently and lost a couple of players to the bin. Unfortunately we only clawed 10 points back but had a few chances we unfortunately couldn't take. If someone had offered me a LBP at the start of the day I'd have snatched their hand off but we were very close to an even better result.
