Piece on ScrumV last Sunday on London Welsh, interview coaches, a few players and the Chairman. It's available on iPlayer. Any thoughts?

Its all good publicity for the brand however we need the players nearby to watch and hopefully want to pull on the famous red shirt

Thanks Peter.

Recruitment over the summer has been strong numbers wise. Tom Baldwin a Welsh second row who they interviewed in the ScrumV programme has come to the club due to the new coaching regime, and has come down to us from a London 1 team.

Any player especially Welsh players in London should feel they can come down to ODP and give it a go, and we need to provide an environment where they want to be. Playing in front of a decent crowd and being coached by a Welsh international is a draw but we need to keep working on it.

I agree with what PeterH63 has to say about the brand. Are we going to get something in the local paper next week about the vital game against Wasps FC, pointing out that it is one of the first local derbies to be played @ ODP this season and although we are amateur, the bigger the attendance the better?

Thanks TIS - Do you mean 'The Richmond and Twickenham Times'?

Adverts cost over £200 and we are not charging people to come to the game, not sure this would get past the Treasurer, social media is free.

Presumably it is the Richmond & Twickenham Times, there is also the Ealing & Acton Gazette, I recall from my university days just the other side of Kew Bridge & M4 from ODP that the local professional football team had preview each week of the upcoming games.

Just an idea.....but to help put more coffers in the pot. Could the stewards not hold a donation bucket as I for one would chuck a few quid in for the privilege of sitting in the Stand during a game?

We are paying the stewards due to Helath and Safety legislation with the stand, we would need volunteers to collect the money so if anyone if willing get in touch.

I saw the piece on Scrum V and thought it was good and positive. I thought everyone came across well and it was clear that there was a lot of energy and optimism about the club.

I particularly liked the quote from John Dawes about the club always having ups and downs through its history: worth holding on to in the forthcoming seasons, as you work your way back up.

Whatever you do, do it safely!
