Lost our control of the game when Dickson went off. Why after 45 mins. 18-0 up and dominating did we make that change. You want your old heads on the pitch. Just had a 15 minute rest so why make the change after 5 mins. If tired why not come off at half time. Also our lineout was solid until we changed hooker. It was a crucial stage of the game. Another 10 minutes or so I would understand but we let Ealing straight back in after doing all the hard work first half. As for Hooleys missed converstion after coming on.

Agreed, not sure why Harry Sheppard was taken off. His defence and kicking were top drawer. Ollie Dodge solid as ever.

Ealing made as many substitutions as us but managed to win the game.

Dicko off after 45 mins, madness, utter madness. Think MRAD should hold his hand up to this loss. Far too many subs for the sake of it.

. Don't think that is a valid comparison. The Ealing subs were like for like. The blues pairings at 9 and 10 are very different in style of play.

Totally agree, that and the 'penalty' try. Can anyone explain why that was a penalty try as a try was not certain to be scored, it was our first offence at the time (they had a series of offences near their line earlier in the game with a number of penalties given but no penalty try) and no cards were issued!

We lost the game in the last 10 mins so early or late substitutions don't really come into it.
You have to believe that you have a match 22 who are ALL capable of winning the game for you.

I don't think the quality of our 22 is in question. The fact remains if something isn't broken don't try and fix it. Dickson was keeping us in the right areas and controlling things. Im a big fan of Burns, but his strength is his ability in attack. At 18-0 to the good that wasn't what was needed. What was, was a controlled and experienced head to close the game out. If we were 18-0 down I'd be the first to throw Burns on.
