If anybody intends to turn up on Sunday & hasn't emailed Emma yet could they please do so or people will go hungry. Weather looks good for an enjoyable day out with a pint or more.

Well at turned out to be a very enjoyable afternoon. The crash course in League was just right, and once you understand that the game is totally different, played with different objectives & within easily understood parameters you stop comparing & accept it as a completely new game. Just as one small example, you can't build a lead then stuff the ball up the jumper & defend it as we are used to, both sides have to compete right to the end.

The game itself was a good game to start with, plenty of excitement & a decent home win at the end. Quite a few of us are meeting up for the next one on Sunday 2nd August, feel free to join us.

it is growing on me also, but as you say Monkey if you accept it is a different game rather than expecting to see Union in the sunshine you can then see whether you actually enjoy it rather than adopting some peoples view that it is somehow not fit to lick the 15 a side games boots (not that that has ever been my view)
