What a brilliant win for the Lions
Just one question on Attendences.
Anyone any idea what the figure was for yesterday's match?
Just curious as I was surprised to learn that not all the tickets were sold for the first test. Around 1800 were still available

The Westpac Stadium website says the attendance was 37283. However I've also seen a stadium capacity of only 34500 stated on another website so I don't think any tickets would have been available for that one.

Cheers LS
Still somewhat surprised that there were so many unsold tickets for the first test!
Just how many Lions supporters were there in NZ?
And what is the population of NZ?
And what is the national sport of NZ?
And what is THE game that Is at the pinnacle of All Black aspirations?
Or
Is it that NZ RFU just overpriced it?

Went out for the beginning of the tour, and there were tens of thousands of lions fans, the place was a sea of red. I think the population, not including sheep, is about 4.5 million. Not sure what the national sport is but more kiwis seemed to be interested in the Americas Cup than in the Lions tour. Historically, speaking to the kiwis, the series that stands at the top of their rivalry list is the Springboks.
Many of the fans who travelled independently were able to buy corporate hospitality tickets, which were the only ones left, as the NZRU couldn't sell them. Aside from the last test, where 'normal' tickets were still available to buy, I think it was only corporate tickets on the market.
I'd assume with the series still alive those tickets will have been snapped up now.

Quite surprised at that pa8 especially as Lions v All blacks only happens every 12 years

( don't wish to be rude but does your name reflect the number of children you have?!)

Not unless there's some I don't know about.

Lions v All Blacks only happens every 12 years, hard to have a rivalry against a team you hardly ever play.

I remember reading that beating the Lions is massive for the southern hemisphere teams simply because they only play them every 12 years - so a player can only get three chances to play against them every 12 years, and unless their career spans the right period, he only ever gets one series v the Lions.

We've got 5 now, did have 6 but we sold one. They're quite cute really, but when they get into the front garden they cause a lot of damage.

Nah nah
He's called pa 8 so possibly father of 8

You are presumably referring to the number of pints of cider you have every night
Bulmer 22

On a separate note what a cracking finale to the series
An independent observer might find it a really fitting result

(In fact I think I do!!!)

8 is the door number and pa the initials of the rest of the address.
But I agree it was a cracking end to the test series, glad we shared the series at least but disappointed we didn't run in tries when we were putting pressure on the All Blacks line.
