Has a knee injury away with Canada but don't know any details of how serious it is , it would be a huge loss if it means losing him for next season as we did with Nile Latu when he was away with Tonga last season.

Yep hope it's nothing too serious. At least one of our players picks up an injury during summer internationals.

It's not too serious. LCL tear. Estimated recovery time 6-8 weeks.

Is that the estimation by the Canadian medical team? - as independent details would suggest if it is ruptured then recovery would require surgery and 6 to 12 months with no guarantee about recurrence.

However, a minor stretch would be similar to the above.

He's going to miss the whole of pre season, let's hope Sinoti and Goneva and fit and ready to go from week 1

Yes. It's not a rupture. Not ideal heading into his first season with the club but DTH is a true professional, he keeps himself in top shape so should be up to speed very quickly once cleared by the medics.

Goneva is still away playing for Fiji as is Latu and Takulua with Tonga and yet to have their summer break. They certainly won't be doing any pre season .

According to his social media account, Tane is due back in the UK in a fortnight. Then he'll have a break of course and catch the end of pre season
Assuming Goneva and Latu are in the same boat

Cavubati is also away with Fiji, who play Tonga away on Saturday morning

Takulua is the big miss in my eyes (depending on how much of the start of the season he misses)

The others we have very strong cover / replacements. But Scrum half I felt Takulua was quite far ahead of his nearest rival.

Its an opportunity for the rest to put a marker down though.

We really need to tie down Tane to a long term contract. He's a class act. I'd go as far as saying he was one of the best performer scrum halves last season. He's now crucial to us.

There is absolutely no doubt that Tane won't be short of offers when his contract expires next season but hopefully he will want to stay and Semore is able to oblige him with a good offer.
