Getting back on topic and adding to the comments earlier, the planning app can be found on Newcastle City's planning portal with all supporting statements
2017/1451/01/DET
The two training pitches and facilities are 100% funded by RFU on condition of being completed by start of next season, I suspect the changes to the North Terrace will take a little longer. The extension of the North Terrace of 1530 new seats looks to incorporate the existing structure. I wonder if this prompts a swap of ends of the supporters.
Quote:This is not new news, the plans have been at the stadium since the start of the season and the detail published on here some time ago. Indeed the planning app has been in some sometime, just thought the app number would be usefulDB23Quote:Timeshock!

Thanks Timeshock
Looks absolutely fantastic, will take the facilities at the ground to a whole new level and be one of the best purpose-built rugby stadia in the country.
Probably stolen the club's thunder by announcing it on here but great to see !

I’ve been wondering what other supporters think about the quality of our floodlights. Of course it might just be old eyes but my enjoyment of Friday night matches has been greatly reduced because I find it hard to see what’s happening on the field as much as I can during afternoon fixtures.
When I got home from the game last night I watched my recording of the game on TV and again found my enjoyment of it spoiled due to what I consider to be inadequate lighting. I think it would be great to see planned improvements to the floodlights too.

Is there a reason why there can't be a longer, bigger, new stand to replace the East Stand? That would seem more of a priority and also would be more profitable.

Just had a first look at the new proposals and they look top notch. Hope it's done for the start of next season

Just had a gander at the plans myself, and they look mightily impressive. I was one of the fans that knocked the american adventure, but it has clearly put a large chunk of money towards these developments.
It is an exciting time to be a Falcons fan, both on and off the field.

We can only know if the Philly trip was financially worth it once we know how much dosh we got. Will we ever be told?

Have the plans included any proper cycle racks? Hoping to get up sometime this back end and the bike is my preferred method of transport to such events!

You normally speak a reasonable amount of sense........ but on this occasion I think the journalistic fingers have hit the keyboard before the brain was engaged! We will not be told for several good reasons:
- it is almost certainly subject to commercial confidentiality
- how ever much we got, some people will still moan
- it's none of our business!
