Interested to note that the photograph promoting the Premiership on our official website features Toby at the apex of the "arrowhead"
In past seasons, I think I'm right in saying, the captain of each Club was featured (barring last year when Ally Hogg stood in for an unavailable Will Welch)
Is there any significance in this?
Has Toby been made Captain?
Or am I talking b****cks as usual?

I can't see anyone other than Welch being captain. Despite whatever people's reservations Welch is our club captain and has grown in the role.
Crucially, everyone, including me, seem to like him being club captain.
For a young man he's carried himself well, and has really matured as a club captain and person. I think Toby Flood will be in the leadership group for sure. I always prefer a forward to be captain, anyway, and in this case it's a case of if it's not broken don't try to fix it.

I don't think there were many of the club captains on show. I don't think messrs Care, Ben Youngs, Haskell, Nowell, George and Watson are their respective club captains either.

It's more about high profile recognition I would guess.

Premiership Rugby changed it from captains this year. They gave us a list of three players from which we could choose one, and Floody was the unlucky one who had to meet me at the airport at 5am last Thursday to catch a 6.05am flight!

The change is based on some market research that Premiership Rugby conducted. Each club was given a list of three.

As for being at the apex of the photo, they take 12 photos of that set-up, one with each club at the front.

Cheers
Smithy
