Is it to be played later or do we get the points by default ?

My understanding is it will be played later, but I'd await official confirmation before taking that as certain.

Are there any RFU repercussions for postponing?

It’s not an RFU competition. Bath did similar last week.

Premier Rugby? Are teams able to cancel games at short notice? I would expect that in the professional game there would be repercussions

It’s not something which is encouraged but player safety is paramount.

Don't Leicester have any academy props? It is not as if they would have been facing dangerously powerful opponents as the Falcons have plenty of injured props themselves.

I think there should be a financial sanction, which should go to the aggrieved team. Clubs like Bath, Leicester etc should have resources to cover for such situations. If we can do it on a smaller budget, I don't see why they can't.
Otherwise we're going down a very bad path, if teams are allowed to get away with this sort of thing, at the last minute, without consequences.

I think this might be getting out of proportion. The whole point of the A League is for player development. Although it is competitive and there is a winner at the end of the A League season, it depends upon mutual understanding between clubs that the games are used for player development in a competitive environment, something a step up from the training field, and if a club feels that they can't field a suitable team then agreeing to postpone the game is sensible. Talk of financial sanctions is a little over the top.

I think the main things this highlights is with current squad sizes, going to a 22 game A-league would be total madness (therefore guaranteeing the suits will force it through).
