Good morning folks,

I was very privileged to attend this event at KP last night and i have to say what an outstanding evening it was.

Attended by 400 people this function was sold out within 24 hours which in itself just goes to show how much the North East rugby community love this guy.

It was brilliant to have the Falcons players serving the food (which was delicious) even if their were a couple of knock ons....dropped plates...not mentioning any names.

Legends from all over the country (to many to mention) attended the evening to show their support for Doddie and the evening was filled with music, laughter, love and a tinge, at times of sadness.

A few heartfelt words from Semore at the end of the evening really shows what a great family club we have and i genuinely believe the best owner in the game of rugby.

Thank you you to everyone involved in making this such a memorable evening, but most importantly of all, best wishes to Doddie and his family in his battle ahead!!

Very kind of you to post this message. A huge amount of work went into making the event a success and raising money for a Falcons great, plus associated good causes.

Deano in particular was very instrumental on our rugby side in pulling the various strands together, and by all accounts it was a fantastic evening.
