Just picked this up off the Irish board. Apparently us, Bath and Irish are after his signature when his contract ends.

Another non-EQP?
Although Young has struggled with injuries since rejoining

Would make a difference as ‘Tak’ had a poor game on Friday

What?? Takalua has been fantastic for nearly a year, has one average game and suddenly bringing someone else in will make a difference?

Maybe he was aiming at someone to share to workload at he can't expected to be atop of his game all the time or fit all the time and maybe needed an extra week after international duty hence wasn't his usual best?

Maybe the standard of play around him was so poor that he didn't look his best. Let's be honest, it wasn't our best game ever, but we still won, and you know what they say about teams that can play badly but still win.

Hopefully after a break for cup games & with the disruption of the past few weeks forgotten we will be back to the form we saw earlier this season for the Quins game.

The point I meant to make was that Hidalgo-Clyne would be a good addition to the squad as he’s a good player in his own right.

The fact that Takalua didn’t have his best game last weekend was merely an observation and not intended to be anything else!

I think we're sorted for scrum halves and can't see any movement there. Front row is we're we need to strengthen.

SHC is a class act and would be an excellent option going forward. I imagine Young is on a decent wage and if SHC could come in for similar it would be a no-brainer.

Takalua is fantastic, has been for over a year. He has been a little off the boil of late though and has put in some pretty average performances by his standards. It would great if we had another option at a similar level to rotate him with if possible....as we don't currently.

Don't understand how Takelua has been below par recently as a few have said. On Friday night his ball was crisp and quick and he was at every breakdown in a flash.

He dropped a fair few balls and made quite a few errors, knock ons etc. I don't think it was a great performance.

To be fair to Takelua he has played an awful lot of rugby recently which has also involved a lot of travelling.

He was not at his 100% best against Saints but he was had a big influence on the game.

Best in the Premiership for me on his day!
