Down in that area with work so was wondering, with us playing several of the last selected A team in tonightís fixture, if this game is still going ahead on Sunday. Assume Wuss are in the same position, any change Mark ?

Hi, it is going ahead as planned. I have a team announcement ready and there are a lot of familiar names in, won't confirm the team til after tonight's game in case injuries or any other issues mean the A-team needs to be tweaked. But the current starting XV has 8 full internationals.

11 DTH van der Merwe

10 Brett Connon

9 Ruaridh Dawson

1 Sami Mavinga

2 Santiago Socino

3 Jake Ilnicki

4 Evan Olmstead

5 Nick Civetta

6 Simon Uzokwe

7 Nili Latu

8 Ally Hogg (captain)

Replacements

16 Jamie Blamire

17 Adam Brocklebank

18 Trevor Davison

19 Andrew Davidson

20 Max Davies

21 James Elliott (Leeds Beckett University)

22 Dominic Waldouck

23 Will Muir (Northumbria University)

Wow that's an unbelievable reserve team considering the European team has been primarily fringe/youngsters with a few first teamers.. Good to see DTH and Mermoz back in the frame getting some gametime. I understood that DTH has been available for selection since returning from international duty. It's again a testament of our depth that an inform Sinoti, Goneva and mr consistent Tait have been keeping a player of DTH's qualty out of the side.

I really want Mermoz to have a stormer. He has only featured in a few European games and a player of his quality and versatility will only improve us.

Looking at our team (Worcester), it seems like the average age is about 18 with most of them still at school. If you donít put 100 on us , that will be a moral victory to us 😀

Maxine Mermoz dropped out of the team, again. What's the reason this time?

Currently 21-14 up coming up to half time.

The Mermoz situation is getting ridiculous Iím honestly not sure if he even wants to be in Newcastle. If you look at his social media heís always in France or off doing something. An inner ear balance affecting injury was the latest. Iím disappointed not to see more from what must be one of our top earners and an excellent talent.

Unless heís been dropped with Quins in mind?

Maxi withdrawn for Quins?
It seems to be one thing after another with no luck at all
In fairness to Maxi, he travels a lot locally, visiting attractions when not involved/available. Do you expect him to sit in the house 24:7?

Wuss fan in peace. DTH was O.K., and Olmstead had a stormer, but our lads must have had a game plan for Nili Latu, who we contained well.

No I donít expect him to be sitting in the house Falc Dancer just frustrating to not see him play. He looked electric in pre-season fixtures but needs to be getting game time.

Fair play to Wuss who have beaten a very good Falcons side today. It will be interesting to see what positives can be taken from the result. Iím glad DTH and Olmstead played well both should be in and around the first team squad.

2nd that Falc Wuss team was mainly made up of kids but we have to take what positives we can from it. Putting out a squad like that for an A league game shows the depth of the squad but in reality I would have expected a win.

I remember a game a couple of years ago when our juniors beat a very strong Newport? team in a cup game. It happens, and all credit to the Wuss juniors who should be pretty pleased with themselves today.
