I do like this kind of thread. I don't think we need to sign many, but lets hope we pick up a few gems. We've got to be a fairly attractive option at the minute with the style of rugby we play and our position in the table.

So does the fact that bar Irish who are effectively related were the only club not to have made a signing, no news on Deanos contract renewal and arguably our best centre/player leaving I'd love to be proved wrong

Smithy has said in the past that signings have been made but it is up to Deano when they are announced. I'm sure that all of their focus is on finishing the season as best as we can and signings will be announced in due course.

In Deano we trust.

Don't think it would be great timing to start announcing signings when we're going so well and morale is obviously so high.

Nutley will be a very handy squad player for someone but Stephenson could be an absolute gem if a team can keep him fit. We could do worse than get him on board as a low risk/high reward signing to replace Waldouck.

How can you say announcing new players wouldn't be good for moral ? It creates competition meaning better performances! im only pointing out the fact that wasps, Saints, Exeter and even Worcester are signing extremely high quality players and if we want to stay with them in the top 6 we need to sign similar quality

Who says we haven't? We're always 'slow' to announce.

Does anyone seriously think that Dean Richards and his team do not have players signed up for next season? Come on. The falcons always announce signings late. We just have to be patient. The same applies with Dean Richards and his contract situation.

Now can we get this thread back onto actual announced signings and not possibles and why nots? There is, I believe, a "rumoured signings" thread for that......

Disagree there, last year we had 4/5 announced by this time last year! Don't get me wrong the job that's been done over the last few years is phenomenal and I couldn't be happier but if we want this to be a lasting situation id like to see some ambition player recruitment wise

Agree RR.
If there's one thing I think we as supporters should have learned over the last 5-6 years is that Semore, Dean and Mick are absolutely on it!!
Im sure we will be informed as and when the time is right.

The current squad may well know already which players have signed, not least because they'll have seen them around the club and they talk to players at other clubs anyway. No need to panic just because we haven't announced any, it's when they play that is important.

Yep, I'd have Stephenson as a replacement for JPS definitely, if he can stay fit.

Leipy, exactly the squad will be aware so no risk of unsettling the squad so strange not announced yet unless they are waiting for either a lull in ST sales or to lift the supporters ahead of a vital game in a few weeks.

Seen a rumour in the rugby rumour website "ruck" linking us with Roko from Bath I'd be extremely pleased with a signing of that calibre!

Can I ask where the Potgieter from Worcester to Toulon news came from? Someone just mentioned it on the warriors board and none of us had even heard a rumour of that happening.

There's a Cheetahs one you seem to have missed - Jersey second row James Voss.

James Voss signed for Leicester for this season, and the seasons beyond, so is not included as he is not a player signed for next season, if that makes sense.

He has signed to play for the tigers this season, so does not count for my next seasons transfer list.

Same reason, I have not listed Nic Groom as an out at Northampton, as he has signed for the Lions in South Africa, with immediate effect.

A few French sites are covering the story, mainly midi olympique, but I may have misread as my French is not what it used to be, seems more like unconfirmed speculation at this point, so will remove this particular move from the list, until, if and when the move is confirmed by either party.

If Ealing did make it, and they meet the infrastructure criteria then it would make simple ring-fencing hard to justify

For Worcester, you can add the following to the outs:

Ben Howard (full back/wing) - England 7s;
Sam Olver (fly half) - Ealing Trailfinders.

There are rumours about a couple more but nothing confirmed as yet, so far as I am aware.

I think he's found the step-up to the Prem quite difficult but I think Mefin Davies will help him to make it. So far as I'm aware he is still going to be with us next season.
