Great news for Newcastle Falcons!

Newcastle Falcons' Kingston Park expansion is set for approval CHRONICLELIVE.CO.UK

Ian Dicxon Lets see if they put money towards sorting out the infrastructure of Kingston Park ie the roads and parking. Its bad enough on the estate on match day with in considerate motorists parking where they want and the sever lack of traffic wardens doing something about it

Wensleydale Falcon: Yes you are right.

This group however tend to whinge on all the time and Anita Lower local MP picks up this Facebook feed, which is why I have given the heads up on this.

I have put this group right a number of times when they have been slagging off the rugby club.

One was blaming the fans for all the litter.........nowt do do with MacDonald's of course.

And then the grid lock because of a sellout ---which was rubbish as it was an early cup match just 3.000

They just jump to conclusions all of the time.

It could be worse Kath. If ever you need to soak yourself with a torrent of misery & blaming other people for everything, have a look at Morpeth Matters Facebook group. The KP lot sound positively tame compared to that bunch of moaners & hatemongers.

Having lived on Kingston Park for 5 years until recently, the club will never win over all of the residents.
I didnít have any issues with match day traffic, maybe because I was at the match but from experience it tends to be the residents in the street immediately next to the ground who have real issues
The clubs plans do include traffic management which will go in favour of the development

To be fair as someone who used to live close to Hampden Park matchdays near sporting arenas arenít always great fun however just as we did, you know when you buy a house / flat close to one that certain times are going to get busy. Itís like a lady who bought a house next door to my local writing ranting letters to the Council about the noise on quiz nights etc! (And then unbelievably going in for a drink). Itís good the plans have traffic measures as this will hopefully appease most objectors.

Kath, while I hate McDonalds and everything it stands for and has done for the health of this nation, they donít litter lout.....itís the lazy g*ts who canít be bothered to use a bin that do that.

It is not the club's responsibiliy to sort out parking issues in the streets around KP. A few parking tickets will address the issue. There is plenty of parking at Kingston Park Shopping Centre with a 15 min walk to KP.

As a matter of interest has anyone on here received "charge notices" from Highview Parking for over-time at Tesco KP?
