The Annapurna Circuit is 140 miles rising to 5416m at the lung-busting Thorung La Pass. Can 6 elderly Geordies with an average age of 65 make it? We're professionally led and, as we're going in any case, every penny raised goes to Doddle's Foundation, so dig deep if you can!

Good local club men taking part.

Everything you ever wanted to know about Annapurna Circuit, and being on Wikipedia, some of it may even be correct.

6 Geordie pensioners attempting this, they must be well mental like. I hope they will have access to t'internet, as following this malarkey on Twitter will be quite something. When will this lunacy take place?

Well done. Age is not an issue if you choose for it not to be. I know a couple of guys in their 70s who flew to Chile, hired a yacht, sailed to Antarctica and made the first ascents of seven mountains. Best of luck. I shall make a contribution. Watch out for altitude sickness. It's a br.
