"Home" games in USA

As I think it's highly likely after today's rebranding that Bristol will have a "Home" game in Chicago next season, I was wondering what other clubs do with regards to their Season Ticket Holders? Did people taking them out before the fixtures were announced get a refund for your game in Philadelphia?

The club gave season ticket holders different options -

Match ticket for USA game
Free tickets for other games
No refund and sponsor a player in the name of season ticket holders (they chose Goneva)

Think there may have been another option but it escapes me.

Most people were really annoyed when it was announced but relaxed when they were told the options.

Glad we’re not doing it again though.

The other option was 12.5% of the season ticket value to be spent in the club shop or on next year's season ticket. The offers were fine apart from the cash rebate which should have been more than pro rata as a league game against Sarries is worth more than an Anglo Welsh or Challenge Cup game.

I was one of those who was really annoyed at first, but then later got used to it. We aren't the richest club around so the money certainly did us some good, and it was one hell of an experience for our squad & probably went some way towards our performances this season. Having to watch the game on the telly instead of in the stands was not actually the worst that could happen, and the club did a grand job of putting it on big screens & making an event of it at KP.

On balance I think your supporters will moan a lot, but it will actually do you a lot of good.
