Just a quick FYI from a Chief in Peace.

Traffic on Saturday around Sandy Park is going to be chaos.. That is a pretty much a given fact.

With a new Ikea just store opening right next door to Sandy Park, The Devon County Show just up the road and the Chiefs game all taking place within a 2 mile radius of each other expect the roads around Junction 30 to be chaos.

Local Police have issued warnings to only travel if essential, But best advise to anyone staying in town and traveling to the ground by bus or car is to leave as early as possible to be sure you make it to the ground,

Anyone getting to the ground by train's from either Exeter Central or Exeter St Davids should be okay.

Thanks Tom
Is the train a better option than Bus C from the bus station?

Personally I take the C bus to every game rather than the train and this won't change on Saturday. I will just be leaving home earlier on Saturday than I normally would...

The train won't drop you directly at the ground and will leave you with a bit of a walk (5 minutes) to the ground so honestly its up to you how you get to the ground but the train itself won't be so effected by the traffic. You just might have to make some space on the train for anyone trying to bring their new BILLY bookcases onto the trains at the Newcourt Station.

Cheers Tom. Out of interest, how quickly is the East Terrace likely to fill up on Saturday? Is it a case of...claim your spot an hour before kick off ala The Shed ?

An hour before and you will be able to get a half decent spot. Bit earlier for a good spot. Any later than an hour and you takes your chances.

Good luck for Saturday (Not too much though). Here's hoping for a good game and that those travelling enjoy the Sandy Park experience.

Sounds like getting to the ground early is best bet. I'm hoping to get in for the Saracens Wasps KO, may as well make a day of it and enjoy the sunshine!

Looks more like 20/22c and sunny.

So for those of you in the North and certain parts of the East, wou will need a baseball cap for sure.

Chiefs caps can be bought at the ground. (Sm128)
