Euro Cup 2019

With Ulster beating Ospreys yesterday to gain the final spot in next season's Champions Cup all 20 qualifiers are now known. I'd love a visit to Toulon or Dublin and I bet we get drawn in the same group as Exeter. What trips do other people fancy?

Exeter Chiefs, Saracens, Wasps, Newcastle Falcons, Leicester Tigers, Bath Rugby, Gloucester Rugby
Glasgow Warriors, Leinster Rugby, Scarlets, Munster Rugby, Edinburgh Rugby, Cardiff Blues, Ulster Rugby
Montpellier, Racing 92, Toulouse, RC Toulon, Lyon, Castres Olympique.

Munster or Leinster

Not sure whether the Falcons are in tier 2 or 3, but they cannot draw Exeter, Saracens or Wasps or a team in the same tier as them.

Why can't we draw Exeter, Sarries or Wasps, alas? I'd have thought the Prem champions would be top seeds so we could draw them?

Of the non-English teams, the only away game we could probably get to would be Edinburgh, which is convenient as it's Mrs L's favourite city, so we've got our fingers crossed for that!

Leipy, one of criteria for the draw is that there can't be more than one team from a league in a pool until tier 4. So the only premiership team that could be in the same pool as the Falcons is a tier 4 team - presumably Glos or Bath.

I was looking at this earlier today. As it's based on league position we're ranked 4th along with Munster and either racing 92, Lyon or castres. There will be a draw for one of us to go in tier 3. It's then a simple draw with usual no 2 from same country rules etc.

It could happen, but it's a long shot. Would only happen if one is in tier 2, the other in tier 3 and the tier 1 team in the pool is French.

Edinburgh
Leinster
Toulon

WHAT WE'LL ACTUALLY GET
Zebre
Llanelli
Exeter

From a purely on-pitch point of view, Zebre would be good.

So we're not in the bottom tier, so the only English teams we could get are Bath or Gloucester? Fair does.

Zebre would make for a fantastic away trip but also two winnable games. Therefore as a fan itís win win
Leinster/Toulon or a like would be good for the club from a sales perspective and it would be nice to see the big names of European rugby as well

Leinster at SJP would be good but it ain't gonna happen. It was said at the fans forum and repeated on here by Smithy that there will only be one game at SJP and that will be a league game and most likely to held in the March football international break.

They have kicked off big time about G4 pitches being unplayable, dangerous, and should be made illegal!
Shocking pitch!

Doesn't really matter what they call it when we end up as surprise winners.....

Don't know if this helps or confuses but, assuming EPRC haven't changed the rules since last year, the following would apply

TIER 1: Castres, Saracens, Leinster + 2 from Montpellier, Exeter and Scarlets
TIER 2: Remaining 1 from Montpellier, Exeter and Scarlets + Racing 92, Wasps, Glasgow + one from Toulouse, Newcastle, Munster
TIER 3: Remaining 2 from Toulouse, Newcastle, Munster + Lyon, Leicester, Edinburgh
TIER 4: Toulon, Bath, Cardiff, Gloucester, Ulster

Each pool will consist of four clubs, one from each Tier in the draw.
Each pool must have one from each league drawn from Tier 1, 2 or 3. No pool will have a second team from the same league until the allocation of Tier 4 takes place.
Where two Pro12 clubs compete in the same pool, they must be from different countries.

Yes, the Challenge Cup draw is at 2pm, then the Heineken Champions Cup draw after that. It's live on BT Sport, and also live on the EPCR website.

There's a draw before the pool draw to determine which tier we will be in.

Also does anyone know when the actual fixtures will be agreed? Hoping for a nice trip to France for October
