So we have hitachi for the main sponsor and after an excellent season , who knows what the next will hold. Lots seem to polarise opinion but in the hope that the marketing team reads these (unlikely) , what colours would everyone like to see on our new kits?
Guessing a tidy little black home number but what about the away and Europe kit? ĎThe Big One 2019í kit?

Would love to see last season's green & white European shirt as our away top, what a great shirt. Obviously our home shirt will be black, and as far as our Euro shirt for next season I'm thinking pink and black hoops !!!

As long as its better than the current home shirt...well it couldn't be any worse could it.

And yes the Gosforth green and white as the away strip would work well instead of that hideous green and grey monstrosity.

All a matter of taste. I like the current black shirt, proper Falcons shirt.

That's true Monkey it very much is personal taste. I personal haven't liked the home or away shirt this season. The green and white one was good and the one off Newcastle United style one was good aswell.

Lets go back to the old Nike style black with the white patches on the shoulders etc. That was a cracking shirt.

Poor old Mick Hogan and Mark Smith; its still May and we are marking out our long run already.

I'm gonna nip a quick one in and start the issue of getting them out there before the season is a month old !!! (Sm106)(Sm106)

Patience, patience good people.

All is in hand and we have a new main sponsor to reveal in the next couple of weeks that will be on both home and away shirts (no euro one this year but we may well do another Big One charity special).

Would like our home shirt to look like a proper rugby top, the current one just doesnít, hard to explain. Iíd take something like the old Gilbert one personally. Sorry, but the away one is ghastly and all of our recent away ones somehow have managed to look cheap. Love the green and white one but sadly couldnít wear it up here!

Great news re sponsor however, the lack of one has maybe detracted from the shirts.

As with everything, youíll never please everyone so itís a thankless task!

I think a big one charity shirt is a good call Mick, adds to the build up and overall event
Great to hear a new sponsor on both tops, this must be better financially for the club as well

The DIY ones are pretty good lol!!! I grew to like this seasons home kit, though it is pretty hard to mess black up. The green and white was smart with historic foundations. Sadly the green and grey never grew on me. Certainly looking forward to seeing what sponsors we can get after such a good year.
Certainly not trying to hassle Mick and Smithy but always good to have their engagement. I think we are allowed a plea I would beg politely for the following ;
1. A nice, home female shirt.
2. The shirts to be available to buy before...not after the season starts.
3. If you are going to sell the player style shirts (please do) , make them stand out to the standard shirt, eg rubber grip on the front, thicker, just anything to justify the extra 2£20-£30.
Kit is subjective, we will all like / dislike whatever comes out but we will buy it and most of the time it grows on us. But please not day glo lol

I'd be very happy to see a new black with some white home strip and as many others have said this season's green and white euro strip as our away kit.

For the next Big One will you provide more shirts for sale as I think both the Falcons and doddies charity missed out as you could have sold thousands more. The demand was there.

As the crowd was 50% above initial target I'm guessing it was a learning curve.

Shame about no euro shirt now were back in the big cup.

I liked all last seasons kit, polo shirts and hoodies, expensive season ha.

Maybe less is more ? Focusing on delivering two good kits rather than three may hopefully deliver good sales. Iím sure the sizes large-xxl menís will disappear quick and the xs-small left in clearance at the end of the year but really excited to h ar who our sponsors are. Iím still surprised that Barbour donít sponsor us given that a lot of the rugby loving community down south love their Barbour and range rovers.
I wasnít sure about isc when we switched but their range seems pretty good and have certainly spent a fair bit in their shop this year.
Not sure if they did it last year , but it would be nice if we put the little country flags on the shirts of those who play internationally like other clubs might be a nice touch, especially for the players

If you ever get bored you can have a hoot with Google Translate.

Address to a Haggis, from English to German to French & back to English again:

Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o the puddin'-race!
Aboon them a' ye tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye worthy o' a grace
As lang's my arm.

Fair fa 'your honest, the sons face,
Grand Chief of the Puddin breed!
Take it off and take your place,
Pain, Tripe or Thairm:
Weel you are worthy of pity
How long does my arm last?

Strange that last seasons Away shirt is getting so much criticism, as it must be our most successful Away shirt ever.
Should nt we retain it for next season, maybe just change a couple of sponsors names?

RE: Google Translate for Rabbie Burns

It was the Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay who reported (on QI, I believe) that the second line of Tae a Haggis (Great chieftain o the puddin'-race!) could be translated online into German and back to give:

Mighty Fuhrer of the Sausage People!

That's got to be my favourite, and how it should be delivered at every Burns Supper, IMHO!

Do a quick Google for AYR RFC - they do a pink and black home shirt.

I prefer the 'solid gold' (Gilbert?) top - last seen the year we won the Tetley Cup [for newer supporters!]

"EXILE"
with your comment about Green & White hoops, do I assume you are staying in 'green and pleasant place'?

So is there actually going to be a new strip next season. We've only had this one a season, don't we normally have it a few before we change?

I notice the club shop has sold out of most stuff which might indicate a change.
