I see in the Journal that a friendly has been arranged for next summer.
Anyone know any details?

Nothing official, just a story in The Times, subsequently lifted by other newspapers.

If this is true it would be another coup for North East rugby
I would like to go if it does happen and I imagine tickets would sell well

The RFU and NUFC have both said nothing. Until itís announced itís just a good newspaper story. Great if it does happen, though.

They played Argentina at Old Trafford in 2009 ? We ran a supporters club trip down to it was a great day.

The RFU old farts brigade will get a shock when the prawn sarnies are replaced by ham and pease pudding. Probably have to pass a steak bake off as a beef wellington

Great news though if it does come off

Just give them yesterday's from the Bargain Bakery on the West Road, they'll not tell the difference :-)

That was an Argentinian "home" game, which is even more bizarre!

Wasn't that a financial thing, because Argentina could make more money out of playing it over here than over there?

Was it not because most of their squad were French based and there was the possibility of a lot of them playing for their clubs until the week before if they were in the play offs. So they decided to play the first test over here, then the second test in Argentina.
