i think Dean has got it wrong, it was not the second-half that we lost the game it was poor defending at the end of the first. We have had the same problem all season, we cannot defend against speed and Saints exploited that in the second-half.

They realised that if they offloaded from the tackle we could cope. They did this again and again and again and we didn't cope with it.

We lose a lot in defence as well as attack
when Matevesi is not on the pitch .
Another centre who is good in defence is Jonny Williams -a few weeks ago w he said he would be back for Sale game has he had a set back ?

Well where do you start?
Positives were only the first 20 mins. We looked like we meant business, solid in the carry ,good handling, and clinical finishing.
Great to see Welch back. How he manages to get through 80 mins after being out 3 months amazes me and never lets the side down.Probably firing at 60% yet still makes the most tackles in the game tbh probably the best player we had over 80 mins.
I think he would make a great defence coach tbh! Now theres a thought for the future.Ha.
I thought the starting back row with Welch,Chick and Nagusa looked good.Impressed by Chicks contribution as well.

Downsides.
what is it with kicking the ball out on the full?

Line outs? Not the first time we have been in the oppositions red zone and 5 mt and can't even hit out own man.Lost count of how many we missed in this game and in other games this season.Hit the front man and keep control of the ball when its not going your way.

Missed tackles...Lost Count.

Few out there looked liked they were carrying a bit of timber!

We all would have loved a Cup Final at KP but not to be.

Let's just focus on the job in hand and hope we get our best side back for the run in.

Upward and onward .

COYF.

A very entertaining game in which you took us apart for 20 minutes. As stated, we "sussed" you out in the end as managed to pull clear in the last 20.
Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Too true. Matavesi's kicking helped us play in the right areas. And our attacking play generally good with ball in hand. Defence definitely need a bit of work. But at least we know we can score tries!
Is Connon ready for premiership rugby? O have Willis all day. I think he's too small and unfortunately not savvy enough yet. Could have controlled a bit better second half. I think need an experienced fly-half next season as priority.

I thought Connon was good. Was our play without the ball that killed us.
