It seems both parts of the Wasps Family are doing well both Wasps RFC and Wasps FC. With the RFC due to vacate Twyford Ave. this summer, the grounds, owned by the FC are being subject to major investment. All 23 acres of the Twyford ground are due to be refurbished over the summer including the installation of state of the art 4G pitches. The Minis and Youth sections are already among the largest in the UK with close to 800 players, with numbers growing at 10% in each of the last 3 seasons. The club is leading the way in investing in level 2 and level 3 coaches (not just "dad" coaches). The Chairman yesterday mentioned that the club will now be making a major investment in the ladies teams - to ensure they become among the top 2 in the country and also the 3 mens teams. With the Wasps FC club founded in 1867 as Wasps FC, plans are in development for bumper 150th year celebrations - look out for announcements for the Sesquicentennial dinner at The Savoy in Feb 2017 and various other events in 2017.

Good to know that the FC is thriving. Pro rugby is the icing on the cake but the cake is made of successful amateur clubs with real connections to the local community. A club in West London called Wasps is a wonderful thing
