As a former Middlesex follower now living in Devon I can offer the following additional information:
1. Since he retired from county cricket, Keith Brown has been teaching at a small independent school in Exeter, called Bramdean. His house, in a village called Clyst St.George, overlooks the local cricket ground and he can often be seen strolling round the boundary. I last saw him when I played there for my club in the summer of 2005. His son Alex (about 13 now, I think) is an outstanding batting prospect who made 164* for Devon under-12s in 2005.
2. Alex Barnett lives in Seattle and works for Microsoft. His thoughts, mostly about the world of computers, but which occasionally touch on cricket, can be found at [www.alexbarnett.net
