For arranging lift shares, meeting up for trains and generally getting Wasps to matches. Any travel advice, parking tips etc welcome. Another wonderful service for all Waspies to use. Sharing makes sense! Since the move to play @RicohArena, Wasps RFC recommends using the @LiftShare for rugby car scheme. There is another alternative founded by a Wasps FC member, Tony Lynch, that you may also wish to investigate called Faxi (@Faxijourneys).

Started this thread for anyone to post useful info regarding travel, flights, trains, hotels etc for Toulon in April. So it doesn't all get lost on the main board.

We're thinking of flying into Nice as flights to Marseilles are starting to get .

What's parking like in Toulon please? Difficult/expensive?

Also, where are people staying?

My Dad and I are thinking about making our first European away trip for this one - heading down on the Eurostar. Does anyone know when the ticket sale dates will be announced and if any non-ST holding fans will get a chance to buy tickets?

Public transport in France is incredible value and quite decent
2 ways:

1. Allow 20-30 minutes for the bus (line 99) from Nice airport to Nice train station "Nice Ville."
Take the train to Toulon - they run at least every 2 hours.

2. Train from St-Laurent-du-Var via Cannes to Toulon.
Takes 2 hours and costs just over 20 each way.

Or a drive should take between 90 to 120 minutes
If you want to hire a car, suggest Easyjet since car hire is in that terminal (otherwise requires a coach)
Best hire car rates also from Easyjet - mainly because they don't bury loads of extras in the rates....40 a day total is typical for something decent

Car parks in Toulon are cheap enough, you've got a lot of free car parks around the stadium and the private ones are something like 0,50 or 1 per hour, 2,50 for the night.

The trip Nice-Toulon-Nice by car will cost you something like 60 in fuel and toll-bridges.
